Question 1

What is career coaching?

Accepted Answer

It's a confidential space to think through your career with a trained coach. You bring the topic; I listen, ask questions and help you explore your options and decide what to do next.

Question 2

How is coaching different from mentoring or therapy?

Accepted Answer

A mentor may offer advice from their experience. In coaching, I help you reach your own decisions rather than tell you what to do. Coaching isn't therapy or counselling, although they can complement each other.

Question 3

Do I need a specific problem, and how do I know if coaching fits?

Accepted Answer

You don't need a defined problem. Feeling uncertain or wanting time to explore your options is enough. You can request a free discovery call to talk it through with me, with no obligation to continue.

Question 4

How do sessions work?

Accepted Answer

Sessions last 60 minutes, online across the UK or in person in Radlett, Hertfordshire. You'll have a short reflection exercise beforehand, then we'll work on your topic. Afterwards, you'll receive a personalised summary and agreed next steps.

Question 5

How often are sessions?

Accepted Answer

Programme sessions are usually fortnightly: three over six weeks for Career Transition, or six over twelve weeks for Professional Reinvention. A Career Clarity Session is standalone.

Question 6

What if I need to reschedule a session?

Accepted Answer

Please give at least 48 hours' notice where possible. We'll look for another suitable time.

Question 7

Is everything we discuss confidential?

Accepted Answer

What we discuss stays between us unless you give permission to share it or there is a safeguarding concern.

Question 8

What does coaching cost?

Accepted Answer

A Career Clarity Session is £90 for 60 minutes. Career Transition is £240 for three sessions over six weeks. Professional Reinvention is £420 for six sessions over twelve weeks. These are total prices, not weekly fees. Both programmes include email support between sessions.

Question 9

Do I need to choose a programme before getting in touch?

Accepted Answer

No. A single session gives us time for a specific question; a programme gives us space to explore a broader change. We can discuss which, if either, suits you during a free discovery call.

Question 10

Do you offer payment plans?

Accepted Answer

I'm happy to discuss flexible payment options for either programme. Please ask during your discovery call.

Question 11

What qualifications do you have?

Accepted Answer

I'm an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC), with over 400 coaching hours supporting more than 100 coachees. I bring 20+ years in career development across global investment banks and a leading professional services firm, and hold professional indemnity insurance.
